Bristol Beer Keller/ Bristol Bier Keller - Bristol Nightclub Review
Bristol Bier Keller is a nightclub in the centre of Bristol near Broadmead. It is famous for two types of night - goth and German Oompah band. As you can imagine it attracts quite an eclectic crowd. This is the only place in town where you can enjoy a Bristol goth night one eveing and a Bristol German oompah band another.
The Oompah nights feature a German Oompah band. Punters are encouraged to dress up and the bar serves frothy German beers in steins all night. Typically this night is reserved for Bristol stag and hen parties. In fact if you try and just pay on the door they charge a pretty steep cover charge. Something like 14 quid. However if you are planning a stag night in bristol, a hen night in Bristol, a christmas party in Bristol or some sort of group night out this can be a fun idea. A great excuse to get drunk and be silly including optional fancy dress.
The goth night is called, rudely enough, phuct. I believe it is pronounced p-h-uct. As you can imagine it is rammed with people dressed in black dancing to loud goth, grunge, metal, etc. Most people tend to be in quite tight night groups so it isn’t the best place to go on the pull or make new friends. If this sounds like your kind of thing though then you have probably already been there. The bonus to this place is that they offer a free shot with every drink. Nice, if you don’t have to work in the morning.
