This is the less well know of the Marriots and in every way it is the slightly stunted sibling to the ever popular Marriot Royal hotel beside college green. Never the less it is a decent business hotel situated 5 minutes walk from the centre of town.
It’s location is a bit unfortunate. Just on the wrong side of the edge of the centre of Bristol. Walk five minutes one way and you are in the lovely harbourside, but walk the wrong way toward the Old Market side of Bristol and you’ll find yourself surrounded by massage parlours and slightly dodgy looking characters.
The hotel itself can accommodate 600 guests and includes high-speed internet access, an indoor swimming pool, health club and 2 restaurants. It seems to be popular for corporate functions.
Great for a business stay but there are better options for a romantic weekend away.
