Bristol Sights - The Christmas Steps

Hiding behind the busy inner ring of Bristol are the charming, quirky Christmas Steps. The name alone conjures up an imagine of Olde England and they really are a landmark in Bristol Heritage, just add oil lamps and a sprinkle of snow and you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d have walked in on a film set for  Charles Dickens novel.

Lined with an array of quaint shops including a sumptuous wedding shop, art gallery and joke shop, the steps are without a doubt a hidden gem that are worth a look in and a new camera reel for!

My advice is start at the top and work your way down to the bottom where you will find one of England’s oldest Fish and chip shops, the owners have kept this is true period style and can tell you a tale or two of hungry American wanting to get their hands on some old fish and chips!
