Flying from Brussels to Bristol with Air Brussels/FlyBe
You can fly direct between Bristol and Brussels with the Air Brussels and FlyBe. These are not seperate flights. They are just two carriers running the one plane. Sometimes on expedia you’ll see different prices for the same flight depending on the carrier. Always go for the cheapest one because it is just the same flight.
The great thing about this flight is it is direct. There are many flight to Brussels from Bristol which take a connection. You can take a KLM flight through Amsterdam for instance. This takes about four hours though compared to the direct flight time of one hour.
When flying from Brussels to Bristol the flight stops directly in front of the terminal. So there is a quick, short walk in rather than the annoying bus ride that you get on all KLM flights landing in Bristol.
They have an interesting ticketing system. A super economy no frills ‘light’ class and a cheap business class ‘flex’ which includes full meal service, free newspaper and alcoholic drink. For business travellers the flex class is a nice, and not too expensive option, but if you are paying yourself grab a sandwich in the aiport and go for the light class.
Overall I have been very impressed by the Air Brussels/FlyBe experience whenever I have flown with them. My bags have always come out on time (maximum wait must have been ten minutes), I like the choice of a cheapo business class and the flights have generally been on time.
